Will this hair removal treatment work for me?
Silk’n can be used on any area below the neck. For best results the hair must be darker than the surrounding skin. Incidentally, people with dark skin are advised against using Silk’n as the light absorbed by dark skin may lead to skin discoloration in some cases. If you’ve been out in the sun, it is not safe to use this particular hair removal system on your skin
Thicker hair will produce better results with black or dark brown hair responding the best. Brown or light brown hair will also respond but usually requires more treatments. Red hair may show some response. Unfortunately, white, grey or blonde hairs usually do not respond to the Silk’n treatment. However, heat based hair removal treatments are suitable for these hair colours.
Of course it will take a little time...
Because of the hair growth cycle new hairs will appear as they come out of the dormant phase and move into the growth phase. The first three treatments using Silk’n should be approximately 2 weeks apart. The good news is that after this 6-week period you should begin to see results. Then, as new hair appears treat it within two weeks to stop the growth cycle. Eventually over time the number of treatments needed should decrease.
